The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program provides state and local governments with critical funding to help reduce existing gaps in services that enhance violent crime prevention and supports a range of programs, including law enforcement, crime laboratories and forensics, prosecution, public defense, courts, corrections and community corrections, reentry, behavioral health, justice system-involved youth, and crime victim and witness initiatives. Grant funding can be used to provide state-of-the-art technology for law enforcement initiatives.
